Bullet misfired during raid passes through UP cop's abdomen, hits constable's head

A constable was killed after the service weapon of an inspector was accidentally discharged during a raid to catch cattle smugglers in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh. Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjiv Suman said the Special Operations Group and personnel from two police stations were conducting a raid in a village bordering Bulandshahr district on Thursday to apprehend cattle smugglers. The bullet struck Kumar in the abdomen and then hit Constable Yakoob in the head. Constable Yakoob succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital, while Sub-Inspector Kumar is currently receiving treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
