Telangana to release to-the-point report cards of development in nine years

Chandrashekar Rao will counter Opposition charges on welfare schemes and development programmes with well-edited to-the-point 'report cards' that highlight the achievements of the BRS government in the nine years since he assumed office on June 2, 2014, when Telangana state came into existence. Fine-tuning the department-wise 'report cards,' which will be released during the 21-day celebrations to mark the 10th Telangana state Formation Day from June 2, the CM has obtained details from ministers and officials. Sources said the agriculture department had submitted voluminous data to show that the BRS government had spent ₹4.5 lakh crore on agriculture and allied sectors for the benefit of farmers. The panchayat raj department provided data of 45 lakh beneficiaries getting Aasara pensions every month in different categories, the welfare departments of BCs, SCs, STs and minorities sent a huge database on the amount spent on welfare schemes and number of beneficiaries and the power department highlighted uninterrupted supply, and the IT and industries department has submitted data on the number of jobs created in its space by attracting investments.
