Two haj pilgrims from India were among the more than 100 people, who were killed when a construction crane crashed on the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Friday evening. Haj Committee of India vice-president Mohammed Margoob Ahmed told The Hindu over phone that one woman from Kerala and a man from West Bengal lost their lives in the mishap, which killed at least 107 people and left over 238 wounded.
