Amid the term 3 gloom of empty schoolyards, deferred exams and lockdowns, a message of hope landed in the inbox of Rosebank College in Sydney's inner west. Key points: The college's 2020 graduates have recorded messages with advice and support for the current class An educator says the videos are giving students a sense of encouragement Class of 2020 student CourtneyJade Goodman hopes the project will be adopted by other schools around Australia The email came from 2020 Year 12 student CourtneyJade Goodman, who felt uniquely placed to help this year's class as uncertainty piled on top of exam stress left many not sure how to cope. "When we started, we thought last year was going to be the COVID class and going into this year it was going to be smooth sailing," he said. "It's made it harder and I wish we could be at school just to have those interactions for our last term at school," Nathan Wrigley said. Ms Clark said the class of 2020's video messages also offered practical advice "Tips were to try and break it down into more manageable bites, not to attack this mountain of work that's sitting in front of them.
