Corpus fund to take care of kin of KGMU teachers who die on duty

We have decided to contribute one day salary every month for next up to five years to make a corpus fund, the interest of which will help such families financially,” said Dr KK Singh, newly elected president of the association in a press conference here on Friday. Addressing the press conference, Dr Singh said the university needs to ensure that its executive council gets the four elected members in its 22-member EC. “At present the nominated members are taking decisions related to patient care, and services of teachers and this is happening without any opposition or thorough discussion which the elected members can do,” said Dr Singh. “We demand the university to get its EC the four elected members in addition to the existing nominated members before the next meeting,” said Dr Santosh Kumar.
