'Schumer's brand is not good': Dem buries senator on MSNBC after 'depressing' rally chant

Raw Story

During an appearance on MSNBC on Thursday morning, former Rep. Tim Ryan made the case that it is time for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to step aside because he is not the man to lead the party during Donald Trump's second term. Speaking with the hosts of "Morning Joe," Ryan expanded upon an X post he made about Schumer at a recent rally where the 74-year-old led the assembled Democrats in a tepid "We will win" chant. "You know, sitting here in Ohio and watching that all go down, you just think that that is not the messenger and that's not kind of the visual we need, I think, to start turning this thing around," he began. "I think guys like Sen. Chris Murphy are lighting it up right now," he offered.
