Covid-19 lockdown: Royal Enfield to shut plants for four days

India Today

As the second wave of the COVID19 pandemic continue to ravage the Indian continent more and more manufacturers are shutting down their production facilities in an attempt to flatten the curve. The company’s manufacturing operations across Thiruvottiyur, Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal facilities will remain shut between Thursday, May 13, 2021 and Sunday, May 16, 2021. Given local lock downs across states and Union Territories impacting retail operations, the company does not foresee any significant impact on ability to cater to demand. They say Royal Enfield teams are focused on ensuring support for employees and communities around its facilities. All other employees across Royal Enfield's offices, including corporate offices in Chennai and Gurgaon continue to work from home, until further notice.
