Kerala Assembly: State can’t accept Centre’s proposal to build third and fourth rail lines from own funds, says Minister

A third and a fourth rail lines are essential for operating and allotting more trains in Kerala. The State government has recently taken up this matter with the Union Railway Minister as part of addressing the travel woes. However, the Railway authorities are of the view that the third and the fourth lines can be constructed from the Kerala government’s own funds if it wants more trains immediately to address the travel woes, Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman, who is in charge of the Railways department in Kerala, has said.
