AP: SIT to Probe Illegal Smuggling of PDS Rice
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team to conduct a thorough investigation into the illegal transportation and smuggling of Public Distribution System ration rice. The illegal smuggling of ration rice has reportedly evolved into an organized mafia, with thousands of tons being transported abroad, primarily through the Kakinada Port. A 6-member SIT has been formed to probe the illegal export of #PDSrice in #AndhraPradesh with IG CID Vineeth Brizlal as its head.
