Teenage computer coder Hamish Leahy proves age is no barrier as he studies at University of New England
Most children grapple with what they want to be when they grow up, but that's never been a problem for 13-year-old Hamish Leahy. "It's a specialised field, I know seven programming languages now and you use those languages every day, like HTML to build websites," Hamish said. "If anyone was able to create our website, we figured it would be Hamish," cafe co-owner Henry Moore said. Evolving industry UNE's Bachelor of Computer Science course coordinator, William Billingsley, said his field was hugely popular with all age groups. "Most of our students are online, with a significant level of diversity in every aspect, from age to experience to background," Dr Billingsley said.
