The BJP is going to announce the name of Delhi's new Chief Minister shortly, putting an end to days of suspense. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has confirmed that the Chief Minister's name will be announced today by the party's two central observers. A LOOK AT CHIEF MINISTER PROBABLES Vijender Gupta is a senior BJP leader who has served as the president of the party's Delhi unit and has consistently retained the Rohini seat, winning in both 2015 and 2020 despite AAP's dominance. AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also belongs to the Baniya community. Among other top contenders for the Chief Minister's post are Parvesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency; Ashish Sood, a prominent Punjabi leader in the BJP who has served as a councillor and the general secretary of the Delhi BJP; and Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi BJP president, under whose leadership the party secured a historic victory.
