Infectious diseases physician, virologist and vaccine expert Tony Cunningham said the Oxford-AstraZeneca result was "important for Australia". "CSL can produce the vaccine here and that helps a lot, particularly for storage and distribution in regional Australia, which would prove difficult for the mRNA vaccines," Professor Cunningham said.
