2022 Women’s NCAA Tournament odds and picks: Lyndsey D’Arcangelo selects Friday’s first-round winners
New York TimesIn gearing up for the Women’s NCAA Tournament, I searched high and low for betting lines for the individual games before I filled out my bracket. While there are many sporty type things to bet on these days on sites like FanDuel — including rugby, darts and golf — women’s college basketball game lines weren’t anywhere to be found on Tuesday — the day before the First Four games of the tournament began. Together, the dynamic duo averages 48.5 points per game, which is more than half of Iowa’s total average of 84.5. And at 64.4 points per game, the Redbirds just don’t have enough offensive punch to knock out the Hawkeyes, or defensive answers for the Clark-Czinano combination. Senior Ashley Joens leads the Cyclones’ balanced offensive attack, which can score from anywhere on the floor and averages 76.9 points per game.
