ISRO plans new improved remote sensing spacecraft

The Indian Space Research Organisation has decided to build new remote sensing spacecraft with a number of improvements, Chandrayaan I and II Project Director M. Annadurai has said. The challenges in the remote sensing area are the introduction of new sensors, improving resolution and agility, faster coverage and all-weather capability through microwave radar imaging. The remote sensing spacecrafts of ISRO are one of the largest constellation in the world owned by a space agency. Talking about the achievements of ISRO, Mr. Annadurai said that the organisation had end-to-end capability to conceive applications, build spacecraft incorporating them and launch using its own space launch vehicles.
