Three more Guillain-Barré Syndrome cases reported in Maharashtra

The cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome are rising in Maharashtra day by day, three new suspected cases of GBS were reported on Saturday, with the toll reaching 183 and deaths at six. These patients are from different parts of Maharashtra, including 37 patients from Pune Municipal Corporation, 88 from newly added villages in the PMC area, 26 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, 24 from Pune Rural and eight are from other districts. One suspected new GBS case was reported today, and the remaining two cases are from previous days, as per the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme data by the Public Health Department. Out of 4,761 water samples sent to the Public Health Laboratory from different parts of the city for chemical and biological analysis, 55 water sources were found contaminated till now.
