Prashant Kishor’s fast-unto-death over BPSC ‘irregularities’ enters day two
The HinduJan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Friday continued his indefinite fast-unto-death for the second consecutive day in Patna seeking cancellation of 70th Bihar Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examination held on December 13 following an alleged paper leak. Fasting in severe cold, Mr. Kishor got support from BPSC candidates and many others who gathered at the spot under Gandhi Statue in Gandhi Maidan.The protesting candidates shouted the slogan ‘Jo Sarkar re-exam na Karwa Sake, Wo Sarkar Nikammi Hai’. The JSP leader sat on a fast on January 2 evening with five demands, which include a high-level investigation into the irregularities in the conduct of the examination, re-examination, and allowance for unemployed youth in the 18-35 age group as promised by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar under Saat Nischay Yojnain 2015. Pappu Yadav criticised Prashant Kishor Meanwhile, Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav criticised Mr. Kishor over the hunger strike.
