SA announces COVID-19 roadmap including repeal of border restrictions on November 23
ABCSouth Australia will ease its border restrictions for double-vaccinated people from November 23. Key points: Double-vaccinated domestic travellers will be able to head into SA without quarantining International arrivals will have the current quarantine duration halved Further repeals will require 90 per cent of the population, aged 12 and over, to have been fully vaccinated That date will The measures are part of the state's much anticipated COVID-Ready roadmap. Premier Steven Marshall said the "vast majority" of other restrictions in SA would ease once 90 per cent of people over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated. From November 23: Borders open to fully vaccinated domestic travellers 7 days quarantine for vaccinated international travellers, 14 days for unvaccinated authorised arrivals Masks and density requirements remain 30 people allowed at home gatherings Once 90 per cent of South Australians aged 12+ are fully vaccinated: Borders open to all fully vaccinated domestic and international arrivals 14 days of quarantine for unvaccinated arrivals Restrictions on most activities lifted High-risk activities only for fully vaccinated people Masks remain in high-risk settings COVID-19 management plans remain 'We cannot keep COVID out' Despite the border relaxation, Mr Marshall said there was a catch — with travellers from local government areas with community transmission and low vaccination rates still required to quarantine. "It helps people do home quarantine but it also pushes out a symptom checker, and it also tells you on the app where you can get tested in South Australia," she said.
