A witness claimed the incident was triggered by a member of the group ignoring the ticket inspector when he asked him “nicely” to remove his feet from the upholstery of a seat. Police are investigating an allegation of assault and a racially aggravated public order offence on board a DLR service in Shadwell, London, 24 November, 2019, after a ticket inspector was allegedly punched and kicked by two passengers after racist abuse.
