NT's Australia Day honours go to ex-chief minister, former lord mayor, Yolngu community legend

An Indigenous elder, a former Northern Territory chief minister and an artist are among six outstanding Territorians recognised in this year's Australia Day honours list. Katrina Fong Lim — Member of the Order of Australia Former Darwin lord mayor Katrina Fong Lim has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to local government and the community of the Northern Territory. Darwin's former lord mayor Katrina Fong Lim joins the list of Australia Day honourees. Her father, Alec Fong Lim, also served as Darwin's lord mayor from 1984 and was awarded a Medal of Australia two years later.
