ABCMiss the peak, drive to work, or work from home — the Premier's advice is crystal clear. Key points: Social distancing on public transport will be put to the test this week Workers and schoolchildren are beginning to return to the network after weeks at home Commuters outside major cities often have little option but to use public transport But on the New South Wales Central Coast, the dawn commute is a way of life and a journey born of necessity, COVID-19 or otherwise. "I've got to travel during peak time because there's not that much flexibility with my work," said Mr Giles. Eddie Ellis, the vice-president of the Central Coast Commuters Association, said Transport for NSW must put on more services. "Perhaps some extra buses as well, particularly some extra buses for the schoolchildren, because if the children just enter the carriages, there might be a hundred of them and just overcrowd it," Mr Ellis said.
