Ballari: Former minister and mining baron, Gali Janardhan Reddy, whose over the top “talking” invitation card for his daughter’s wedding in November has grabbed eyeballs, plans to invite PM Narendra Modi and all Union ministers to it, according to his confidante B. Sriramulu. State BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa, JD state chief H D Kumaraswamy and all senior political leaders of the state too are in the guest list. As for Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who was the duo’s “godmother” until the relationship between them soured, Mr Sriramulu said she too would be invited, but admitted he wasn’t sure if she would attend “as she will be busy with the winter session of Parliament.” Rebutting the criticism of the unusually grand wedding card, he said while the wedding itself would not be simple, it would not be as grand and lavish as being made out in the media. So using latest technology, a different kind of wedding card was made.
