In line with the CDC’s decision, US Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas announces that the Biden administration will stop using Title 42 to expel asylum seekers at the border by that same date. December 2022: Following a request filed by several Republican state attorneys general, the US Supreme Court agrees to take up the GOP-led case challenging the Biden administration’s plan to end Title 42.
