Delhi Metro’s Blue Line service goes out of gear as passenger strays onto track

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's Blue Line service on Tuesday was severely affected leaving the passengers either stranded on the platform or inside the trains. "Delay in services between Yamuna Bank and Noida Electronic City due to a passenger on track at New Ashok Nagar," DMRC's official Twitter account said at 2:13 pm. Earlier on Tuesday, in a suspected suicide bid, a man in his early 20s died after an approaching train smashed his head while he lay on the platform at New Ashok Nagar metro station, police told PTI. The man, identified as Amit Soni, a resident of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, laid down on the platform, with his head and shoulders sticking out towards the track, when he saw the train approaching, they said.
