Hermes driver runs in front of his car to stop it rolling into house

Daily Mail

This is the moment a delivery driver managed to stop his car rolling into a customer's house by putting his own body between the vehicle and the wall. Jim Gray, 34, only realised he had not pulled his handbrake up properly when his car started rolling towards a customer's house in North Lincolnshire on February 17. Jim Gray, 34, was delivering a parcel for Hermes in North Lincolnshire when his car - with the handbrake not properly activated - started rolling towards the customer's house As he waits, the blue Hyundai begins rolling towards him and the building. Jim Gray said he wasn't sure if he saw the approaching car out of the corner of his eye or in the reflection of the door - but he clocked it just in time to take swift action Putting his own body in between the car and the house, the delivery driver prevented any damage to property occurring - and most importantly, he escaped without any injuries himself After rolling the car far enough away from the house, he nipped to the driver's door, leant in and secured the handbrake Mr Gray said: 'I put my handbrake on but didn't click it all the way up obviously.
