45 Chinese soldiers died in Galwan, reports Russian news agency TASS
India TodayChina has not revealed its casualties in the Galwan Valley clash but a Russian news agency, TASS has reported that 45 Chinese soldiers died in the free-style fight. In its report on the disengagement process that began in the eastern Ladakh on Wednesday, TASS said “at least 20 Indian and 45 Chinese servicemen” lost their lives in June 2020. Back then China had termed reports putting the number of Chinese soldiers being killed in the Galwan Valley clash at over 40 as “fake news”. TASS in its report has said, “Chinese and Indian forces clashed in the region in May and June 2020, resulting in at least 20 Indian and 45 Chinese servicemen dead.” It has been more than nine months since Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers happened, but China is yet to release the number of casualties its People’s Liberation Army suffered.
