Indian Coast Guard ships arrive in Maldives for maritime collaboration

The visit by Offshore Patrol Vessel ICGS Vaibhav and Fast Patrol Vessel ICGS Abhiraj, underscores India’s efforts to bolster maritime collaboration and enhance bilateral ties within the region, the officials noted. The agenda also includes cross-deck training sessions, collaborative discussions, and friendly sports events, reflecting the shared commitment to maritime safety and security. The deployment will also underscore environmental stewardship with National Cadet Corps personnel aboard a Coast Guard ship actively participating in an environment protection awareness programme, officials sadi.
