3-tier security check for spectators: State top cop

State Director General of Police A.N. HT Image Roy said forces and technical teams from across the state would be deployed and has appealed to spectators and the media to cooperate to ensure no untoward incident takes place. Roy inspected the stadium in Nerul on Monday along with Navi Mumbai police commissioner Gulabrao Pol, IPL officials and stadium head Vijay Patil. Roy said: “In view of the unfortunate incident at Bangalore, two semi-final matches have been shifted here and we have been asked to provide security at a short notice. “Only those with proper photo identity cards and having work within the stadium will be allowed inside,” Roy said.
