Explained: Why Jyothi Yarraji's medal was upgraded to Silver despite finishing third in women's 100m hurdle

Indian contingent added three Gold, seven Silver and five Bronze medals to their tally on Day 8 as Track and Field accounted for a memorable day for the country in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China with nine out of them. India's one of the medal contenders in Track and Field, Jyothi Yarraji was expected to end up on the podium in the women's 100m hurdle race but it seemed like she was going to get disqualified from the race altogether. Hence, Yarraji, who clocked 12.91 seconds was upgraded to the Silver medal from bronze while Japan's Yumi Tanaka, who had finished fourth was all of a sudden on the podium with a timing of 13.04 seconds.
