A week after its release on OTT, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut's Emergency reigned number one on Netflix. However, Kangana dismissed the idea, called the award “silly,” and claimed that America is a bully who “suppresses, arm twists developing nations.” “#EmergencyOnNetflix should go for the Oscars from India. Kangana reposted the tweet and said, “But America wouldn't like to acknowledge its real face, how they bully suppress and arm twist developing nations. We have National Awards.” Here's what other viewers thought of Kangana's Emergency: Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta said he had “prejudged” Emergency but was pleasantly surprised by the “top-notch and world-class film”.
