Collection of garbage, solid waste management user fees in Mysuru begins effective April 1

Effective April 1, Mysuru City Corporation will begin garbage collection charges or solid waste management user fee from property owners. “The solid waste management user fee will be collected along with the property tax payable to MCC from this year,” said an MCC official. The MCC has decided to collect user fee for solid waste management from residential areas in the first phase. Meanwhile, sources in the MCC pointed out that the civic body hopes to raise about ₹8 to 9 crore during the first year of imposition of user fee for solid waste management.
