The HinduAll Pensioners and Retired Persons Association Visakhapatnam committee general secretary Sk Hussain has demanded that employees and workers, who had retired after serving in government and private organisations, be paid a minimum pension of ₹9,000 per month along with DA in tune with the growing prices of essential commodities. A dharna was organised by the APRPA, in support of the All India Coordination Committee of EPS 95 Pensioners’ dharna in Delhi, at the Gandhi statue here on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Hussain sought that all EPS 95 pensioners should be given an opportunity to claim higher pension option, without any cut-off date. The applications submitted under the ‘higher pension’ option should be processed early to enable eligible beneficiaries to lead a better life with higher income.
