Mini bus fares hiked in Tamil Nadu; to be effective from May 1

The Tamil Nadu government has proposed to levy fare ranging between ₹4 and ₹10 a person for travel up to 20 km in the mini bus. According to the New Comprehensive Scheme, 2024 it has finalised earlier this month, the fare would be ₹4 for travel up to 4 km or till the second stage. “The rolling out of the service on the ground by running the mini bus under this scheme will start from May 1,” they said. In June last year, the government issued the draft New Comprehensive Scheme, 2024.
