Notably, US-based chip manufacturer Applied Materials is currently in the process of seeking approval to establish a research and development lab in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Applied Materials had recently unveiled plans to invest $400 million over the next four years in the creation of an engineering centre in Bengaluru, marking a significant commitment to the region’s technological advancement. In addition to Applied Materials, San Francisco-headquartered Juniper Networks Inc. is exploring opportunities to expand its footprint in Karnataka.
