
JNTUH online classes to bridge gap for rural colleges, fix faculty shortage
The HinduJawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad in-charge Vice Chancellor and Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman V. Balakista Reddy on Friday launched a special online classes initiative to provide quality education to university students in the rural constituent colleges. The initiative is a significant step towards educational equity ensuring that no student is deprived of quality education due to geographical limitations, officials said. According to Mr. Reddy, the objective of this initiative is to extend quality education available at the main campus to at least 15% to 20% of students in rural constituent colleges. With the online programme, not only is the rural bridge addressed but also students can make the best of the expert faculty who currently teach at the Hyderabad main campus.
