Elon Musk’s 2.30 am mail to Twitter employees reads ‘office is not optional’
Live MintTesla CEO Elon Musk has been known to work on his whims, on his rationality, sometimes crossing the threshold of what could be considered ‘normal’. The strict diktat imposed by Elon Musk is not the first time for the employees since the Tesla chief completely took over in October last year. Last year, emails and directives from Elon Musk had emerged on social media wherein he had asked his Tesla employees to return to office or find jobs elsewhere. In 2022, Elon Musk had sent the employees of the social media platform Twitter an email asking them to be ready that they have time to consider whether they wanted to stay on for ‘working long hours at high intensity’ or take a severance package of three months' pay, Reuters had reported. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization on Thursday warned against "fake news" after Twitter boss Elon Musk tweeted that countries should not "cede authority to WHO" amid negotiations over a new pandemic treaty.
