CM Yogi Adityanath inspects Mahakumbh stampede site, warns of conspiracies against Sanatan

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Saturday marking his first visit since the stampede which claimed 30 lives and left 60 injured on Wednesday during the Mauni Amavasya Amrit Snan in Mahakumbh. During his visit to the site of stampede, the CM, flanked by the senior Mela officials including Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna, sought detailed reports from officials on the stampede. On his way back from the incident site, CM Yogi interacted with devotees, personally approaching the barricades to check their well-being amid the chants of "Har Har Mahadev," "Jai Shri Ram," and "Jai Ganga Maiya." All praise for the Akharas for the perseverance shown by them and the cooperation they extended to the authorities in the aftermath of Wednesday stampede, Yogi said: “You must have noticed how those, who are the opposers of Sanatan Dharma, attempted to provoke the saints, hoping to make them lose their patience and become a subject of ridicule.
