Will fully support Steve Smith's bid for captaincy: Australia skipper Tim Paine

Australia Test skipper Tim Paine has thrown his support behind ex-captain Steve Smith taking over the leadership role if and when he "decides that's the way he wants to go". On the issue of Smith taking over the captaincy, Paine said that any such discussion is yet to be had but he realizes that it's something the former "loves doing". "He’s got one of the great cricket brains so when we’re out there, I enjoy getting his feedback and I’m sure we’ll continue to do that for the next little bit," added Paine. Paine also accepted that Australia's next scheduled 2-Test series in Bangladesh, marked down for June, is "unlikely" to be held as per schedule because of the coronavirus pandemic.
