7-Eleven worker 'fired after taking stand about working conditions'

A 7-Eleven worker who lost his job after complaining about being forced to work for more hours than his visa allowed says he was treated like a modern-day "slave". "He told me I don't have any more work for you, I don't require your services," Mr Khanna said. After 10 months, Mr Whale was still a trainee and claims his On The Run managers refused to supply the paperwork for modules or "mods" he needed to complete before they would move him up a pay bracket. "I kept asking for more, 'Can you send me out more mods, so I can finish them, so I can get full pay and full hours', because I really needed them," he said.
