Bloggers including British writers are raking in six-figure sums as they turn to self-publishing on the Substack platform. Pastry chef Nicola Lamb is also one of the many people on the platform who has been able to give up her full time job to work on her Substack full time. The site is also favoured by former No 10 adviser Dominic Cummings, who charges £10 a month for full access to his thoughts and musings. Former government adviser Dominic Cummings has a large number of Substack subscribers Nicola is one of the many people on the platform who has been able to give up her full time job to work on her Substack full time Ms Gannon, 34, said: 'I really wanted a community online and that really tallies up with the fact that social media is no longer that space for me – and I know a lot of people are moving away from Instagram and moving away from Twitter, for obvious reasons. Substack cofounder and CEO Chris Best told BuzzFeed News: 'If you charge $10 a month or $5 a month, or $50 a year — if you can get 1,000 or 2,000 people to pay for that, you've suddenly got enough to go as an individual.'
