'No benefit will come out of Oppn unity because...': Ghulam Nabi Azad on Lok Sabha 2024
India TV NewsSrinagar: Ahead of the next year's Lok Sabha elections, Democratic Progressive Azad Party chief and former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that he sees no benefit coming out of "opposition unity" because both sides have nothing to offer to each other. Azad on Nitish's unity meet and Mamata's role in Oppn Responding to the Opposition's meet called by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Ghulam Azad said he has not been invited to it. Referring to West Bengal, Azad pointed out that the Congress and the Communist Party of India have no MLA in the state and wondered that just in case the two parties forge an alliance with the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress, what does the latter stand to gain? So, there is zero truth if someone says the Congress is winning the state elections because of the central leadership," Azad said.
