Eyes set on Guinness World Records, India International Science Festival begins
Live MintKolkata: The fifth edition of India International Science Festival began here today, with students attempting to create four Guinness World Records dedicated to noted scientists who were pioneers in their field of research. It will see a participation of over 400 students, and is dedicated to J C bose, who was first behind the science to capture radio waves. Additionally, the four-day long science festival would witness as many as 28 events including health science conclave, agricultural scientists meet and Vigyanika- science literature festival. "Our primary goal is to expose young minds to the deep mysteries of the universe and various facets of its evolution, so as to encourage them to take up science as a career option and contribute to the nation's intellectual capital and growth,” said Professor Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology.
