Chandrababu Naidu for Amaravathi being developed as Artificial Intelligence city
India TodayAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to formulate plans to develop Amaravathi as the city of Artificial Intelligence. The officials also informed Naidu that 60 per cent of the jungle clearance works were complete in the capital region and the Chief Minister told them to use drones for assessing and for supervising the jungle clearance works. The Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation, Ramakrishna Reddy, told the Chief Minister that the Visakhapatnam metro rail construction will be completed in two phases -- the first phase spanning 46 km with an expenditure of Rs 11,400 crore and the second phase of 30 km with Rs 5,734 crore. The Chief Minister said that the first phase of metro construction in Visakhapatnam should be completed in the next four years and that work on a metro rail in Vijayawada that was being taken up with Rs 11,000 crore for 38 km should also be accelerated.
