Kerala High Court says not to use plastic bottles at weddings in state

The Kerala High Court has said plastic water bottles should not be used at wedding receptions in the state, citing environmental concerns. The court said small plastic bottles were causing harm and added that plastic materials should not be used at official events. “How can the ban on plastic water bottles be implemented practically?” the court asked. “There is a ban on the use of half-litre water bottles at wedding receptions,” said the Special Secretary of the Local Self-Government Department.
