Uyir Road Safety Hackathon 2025 grand finale begins in Coimbatore

The Hindu

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati inaugurated the two-day Uyir Road Safety Hackathon 2025 grand finale at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology on February 8, 2025. Organised by the Coimbatore district administration, Coimbatore City Police, and Uyir—a non-governmental organisation focused on road safety—the hackathon features two categories: students and professionals. Participants developed ideas and prototypes to improve road safety, which could contribute to the Coimbatore Road Safety Model City Project, an initiative implemented by Uyir in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu. Successful solutions will be integrated into Coimbatore’s road safety framework, contributing to ongoing efforts to reduce accidents and improve traffic management.
