The HinduCoimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati inaugurated the two-day Uyir Road Safety Hackathon 2025 grand finale at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology on February 8, 2025. Organised by the Coimbatore district administration, Coimbatore City Police, and Uyir—a non-governmental organisation focused on road safety—the hackathon features two categories: students and professionals. Participants developed ideas and prototypes to improve road safety, which could contribute to the Coimbatore Road Safety Model City Project, an initiative implemented by Uyir in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu.
