Callum Hudson-Odoi needs to replicate Willian and Christian Pulisic form, warns Frank Lampard
Frank Lampard has challenged Chelsea’s 19-year-old winger Callum Hudson-Odoi to work hard to earn a starting place ahead of Christian Pulisic or Willian. That was as a 76th-minute substitute in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Watford, with Pulisic and Willian starting Chelsea’s last four matches, including the FA Cup quarter-final win over Leicester. Callum Hudson-Odoi needs to improve his form if he wishes to be part of Chelsea's starting XI That's the view of manager Frank Lampard who has warned the winger about what he expects Hudson-Odoi is currently behind Christian Pulisic and Willian in the Blues pecking order ‘He really needs to work hard daily in training,’ Chelsea manager Lampard said of Hudson-Odoi, who was arrested for breaking lockdown protocols in May. We’re seeing at the moment what Pulisic and Willian are doing and when Callum comes into the team or comes on, he has to show something similar.’ Lampard has praised Jorginho's professionalism - despite not being picked to start in matches N’Golo Kante is set to miss Chelsea’s trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday night, giving Jorginho the chance to make his first appearance since the restart.
