Char Dham Yatra 2024: Ban on 'making reels' within 50 metre radius of temples, no VIP darshan till May 31
India TV NewsChar Dham Yatra 2024: The Uttarakhand government on Thursday decided not to allow VIP darshan at the 'Char dhams' - Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri- through the rest of the month due to the huge rush of devotees at the Himalayan temples. There will be no arrangements for Very important person darshan at the Char dhams till May 31 and offline registration in Haridwar and Rishikesh will remain closed till May 19, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said in a letter to her counterparts in all states and Union Territories. The Char Dham Yatra, or pilgrimage, is a tour of four holy sites- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
