The South Australian capital edged out several global cities including New York, Paris, and Barcelona in Spain Adelaide - known to Australians as the 'city of churches' - was also praised as home to iconic buildings and beautiful beaches popular among tourists. Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia in northern Europe, was rated the second most beautiful city in the world New York City in the United States also made the cut among the list of top 20 most beautiful global destinations The Barossa Valley consists of more than 170 wineries and is home to several famous producers such as Penfolds and Jacobs Creek. The exclusive list comes despite Adelaide recently being ranked the ninth least affordable city in the world to buy a home.
