Bhopal photographer called on pretext of shooting birthday party, gets robbed

A Bhopal-based photographer called on the pretext of shooting a 19-year-old woman's birthday party in the city, was robbed of his valuables worth Rs 16 lakh. The police said that Ajay Kushwaha received a call from Janki on January 12, asking him to capture images and videos of her birthday party. Upon reaching the spot, the woman's boyfriend, Aniket, and his friends -- Khalid Khan, Anil, Bunty, and Rajesh -- stole Kushwaha's camera, phone, photography equipment and his motorcycle. During interrogation, Aniket revealed that he also aspired to become a photographer, but lacked funds to buy a professional camera.
