WhatsApp dark mode: What we know so far

NEW DELHI :After Facebook Messenger, Google Chrome and Instagram enabled dark theme for users, popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp is now following suit. The Facebook-owned company may soon roll out the much-awaited ‘Dark Mode’ feature on phones starting with iOS 13 users, according to WABetaInfo, a fan website that tracks the app’s updates. This primarily means that the feature may come in two different dark modes to choose from: one with a dark gray/blue background, and another with pure black. In case of Instagram and Google, which have already rolled out the feature to its users, the transition from light to dark theme happens automatically owing to the fact that the user has already enabled the dark mode feature on their iPhones.
