Airbnb couple blasted by neighbours for trying to build TWO 'rabbit hutch' homes in the back garden of their £320k home

Daily Mail

An AirBnB landlord couple have been slammed by their neighbours for repeatedly trying to cram two additional homes in the back garden of their £320k home. Neighbours say if the proposals go ahead it would lead to a 'congestion nightmare' A floor plan submitted by the owners for the two-storey house, which would be situated in the garden to the side of the house Documents submitted as part of the planning application show that one house would be built to the back of the existing property, while one would be built to the side. A number of local businesses are located just opposite the house and say they already struggle with a lack of parking spaces for customers Owners Steve and Jill Williams insist the properties would provide 'affordable housing' for young couples looking for their first home or elderly people looking to downsize The plan for the two-bedroom bungalow, which would be situated in the back garden Tina Spalding, 51, works in the supermarket opposite the property. 'The potential of multiple more cars of the people living or renting in the new two proposed dwellings will take up all the parking for the businesses on Quarry Road and will, therefore, have a knock on effect of cars parking in the Ledbury Road slip roads, which is already a big problem as it impacts on my access to my home as they already park all around the turning circles and all down the slip roads. Neighbours said the proposed new dwellings would look like 'rabbit hutches' Quarry Road, the road crossing across Ledbury Road, is a busy road and locals say the area becomes very congested, with a lack of parking spaces.
